Die Leitung der Fachjury hat der Präsident der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität-Erlangen-Nürnberg, Prof. Dr. Ing. Joachim Hornegger mit nationalen und internationalen Experten inne. Die Metropolregion Nürnberg e. V., Museen und Verbände wirken ebenfalls mit.
